Preble’s Meadow Jumping Mouse Mitigation Credits

For Projects in Watersheds located in the Front Range, North of Denver, Colorado

A Partnership between the Colorado State Land Board and a group of passionate conservation entrepreneurs

Approved in 2021, the Table Top Conservation Bank is Colorado's first privately-operated habitat conservation bank. The project was initiated by Conservation Investment Management, an investment advisor specializing in conservation finance based in Castle Rock, CO. The successful development and completion of the project were made possible through the collaborative efforts of Tim DeGraff, Braiden Chadwick, and Ben Winslow who provided essential financing and expertise, working alongside Conservation Investment Management to bring this groundbreaking initiative to fruition.

This project represents a win-win for local communities, Colorado schools, and the environment. Leveraging private capital, we have restored and permanently protected over 250 acres of habitat for the Preble’s Meadow Jumping Mouse. The mitigation credits generated by this initiative enable essential community projects to move forward more efficiently, minimizing delays and reducing costs associated with federal environmental regulations. Additionally, our landowner, the Colorado State Land Board, benefits financially by earning a share of every credit sold. These revenues directly support the Colorado Public School System, creating a lasting impact for both education and conservation in the state.
